Client Education: Galleries

Your gallery has arrived... Now what?

I always love that feeling when i get my gallery back from my sessions. It takes me back to the excitement from those moments, but also helps me see how much our family has changed each year. I love scrolling through those special moments between me, my hubs, our pups, my mom and brothers, and now my kid.

Downloading your gallery is SO IMPORTANT. That is what you are paying for when you book a session with a photographer.

Lets get in to some of the details of it.

What actually comes in your gallery? The full resolution final images come in your delivered gallery. These are the images that you paid for when you purchase your session. Downloading these means you are getting what you paid for!

What is the difference between taking a screenshot of the image on your phone and actually downloading the image?

Downloaded File: This is the final image. This is the full resolution image that you can take anywhere to get printed, at any size and they will be perfect quality. THESE are the files you pay for when you purchase your session.

Screenshot (on your computer or phone) or taking a picture of the picture: This isn't your final image. This is not a printable version either. When you take a screenshot of your image, it is not including all of the pixels from your actual file. It also isn't going to capture the final color profile of the full resolution image. This file/screenshot can only be printed up to 5x7 (and lets be real... you want these pictures big on your walls).

... Cassie what does this mean?

This means that I would love for you to take the extra step of downloading your files from your gallery! They can be downloaded to your computer AND individually to your phone. It really only takes a couple of seconds to a couple of minutes.

Have any other questions? Please don't hesitate to reach out and ask me!
